Corpus Cristi

I cannot omit the great Sacrament of Love. Today is the feast of Corpus Cristi, the solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Jesus. The feast is a celebration of the priesthood, through which the Body of Christ is made physically available to the people of God. It is also a commemoration of the great gift of His Body and Blood to strengthen the Mystical Body of Christ, the Church on Earth. This feast should be a time of reflection, and renewed fervor for the Most Blessed Sacrament. We should always strive to receive Him as if it were our first, last, and only time that we could receive Him. Such should be our reverence and disposition at each reception of Holy Communion. It would be even more efficacious if we would receive Him with the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Ask Mary to give you her pure heart, so that you might receive him most worthily and thus bring about the greatest salvation of souls and conversion of sinners.

Happy Feast Day!

The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus

Wow, it has been awhile since I last posted here!  June is the month of the Sacred Heart, a time to make reparation for the many sins committed against it, and also a time to grow in devotion to the Sacred Heart, the source of all graces.  This month, as many students finish their terms, we pray that they will fly to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, enflamed with love for all of humanity, to receive the graces of conversion and growth in holiness, that they will follow His will in everything, always, and with the assistance of His grace that they may serve Him most efficaciously, know Him most deeply, and love Him most fully with the very love that sets His Heart on fire.

God Bless!
